Parvathi Melton Item Song In Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh

Salman Khan's biggest ever Bollywood hits Dabangg's sizzling item number 'Munni Badnaam Hui', featuring Malaika Arora, rocked the entire nation and Power Star Pawan Kalyan fans is expecting the same to happen in Tollywood with their favourite hero's upcoming Dabangg remake titled Gabbar Singh.

The Gabbar Singh makers considered several actresses including Malaika Arora and Anushka to replicate the 'Munni' magic in Telugu, but no confirmation came so far!

But according to latest reports, Parvati Melton, who scorched the screen with her item song 'Poovai Poovai' in Mahesh Babu's runaway hit Dookudu, has been approached by the makers to do the song in Gabbar Singh. Notably, Dabangg is also being made in Tamil as Osthi, which has Mallika Sherawat doing the 'Munni' song. Gabbar Singh shooting will commence from October 29 at Pollachi.

Prabhas Rebel progressing in Hyderabad

Young Rebel Star Prabhas' Rebel under the direction of Raghava Lawrence is currently being shot in Hyderabad.

The next schedule will commence in Bangkok, where the unit will shoot some songs on Prabhas, Tamannaah and Deeksha Seth. The shooting is expected to be completed by October and the film will be released in December.

Rebel is produced by J. Bhagwan and J. Pulla Rao under the banner of Sri Balaji Cine Media. S.S. Thaman is composing the music.

Prithviraj's Malayalam hero Anwar goes to Telugu

Young Malayalam hero Prithviraj's 2010 film Anwar is being dubbed into Telugu. According to sources, the film has already completed the dubbing works and will be released across AP on October 12 with the same title.

China Babu Arigela of Tollywood Creations is bringing the film in Tollywood. Directed by Amal Neerad with Mamta Mohandas as the heroine, the film is loosely based on the 2008 American spy thriller film Traitor.

The cast includes Lal, Prakashraj and Vinay Forrt. Music is by Gopi Sundar and Motherjane, while cinematography is by Satheesh Kurup.

Nani replaces Ram in Gautham Menon's Trilingual

Young Telugu actor Nani of Ashta Chemma fame has replaced actor Ram as hero in the Telugu version of director Gautham Menon's upcoming trilingual, simultaneously shot in Tamil (as Neethane Enponvasantham), Telugu and Hindi. The Tamil version stars Jiiva in the lead, while Hindi version has Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead.

Nani is doing the Telugu version of my film. We have started filming with him already, the director confirmed. It was earlier heard that Tamil hero Jiiva would also be the hero of the Telugu version. Notably, Nani earlier worked with Gautham Menon in his production venture Veppam.

Vikram's Raja Pattai to be Dubbed in Telugu

Vikram's Raja Pattai, which is progressing briskly in and around Chennai, will be dubbed and released in Telugu simultaneously. In Raja Pattai, Vikram plays the role of a gym instructor who comes to the city with a dream of becoming a big villain in Tamil films. Raja Pattai is directed by Suseendran and sexy siren Deeksha Seth, who created waves in Tollywood within a short time, will make her Kollywood debut with this film. At a recent press meet, Vikram assured that the film will be a complete action entertainer with the right mix of humour and logic.

Deeksha has revealed that she will play the role of a modern IT professional; Abhinaya will also be seen in a prominent role. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score music and Madhie is the cinematographer of this complete action thriller. Veteran actor K. Viswanath will appear as Vikram's father. Recently PVP Cinemas has taken over Raja Pattai from Singamala Ramesh's SP Creations.

Vishal to team up with Lingusamy again

Hot on the grapevine is the news that after the success of Sandakozhi, Lingusamy and Vishal will come together again for the actor's next movie. Vishal is currently busy with Prabhu Deva's Vedi, which is expected to grace theatres soon; Lingusamy is busy with his multi-starrer Vettai which has Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in lead roles. The proposed project will go on floors after the release of both projects. We have to shoot three songs and have some patchwork left for Vettai. We are looking to release it in December. Post that, I'll begin my film with Vishal, which should go on floors either by January or February, Lingusamy was quoted as saying.

Salman Khan To Don Drag In 'Kanchana' Remake?

After playing some super macho roles in his previous releases, Salman Khan now wants to surprise his fans by playing a cross dresser.

It is no secret now, that the combination of Eid and South remakes is working wonders for the Dabangg Khan and sources reveal that his brother Sohail Khan now intends to buy the remake rights of Telugu hit Kanchana.

Kanchana is a 2011 Tamil Horror comedy film directed, written and produced by Raghava Lawrence (also credited as Lawrence Raghavendra). And if the deal gets sealed, Salman would be seen portraying the role of a transvestite in the film.

Sources say that Raghavendra is asking for a whopping Rs. 4 crore for selling the remake rights and although Salman is eager to do the film, his brother is apprehensive about paying such a huge amount to Lawrence.

Ajith eyeing Mahesh Babu's Dookudu

It was earlier reported that after Pokkiri, Bodyguard, Ready and Kick, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is likely to remake Mahesh Babu's new film Dookudu. According to latest reports, Tamil superstar Ajith is also showing interest to remake the film in Tamil.

Remake specialist Jeyam Raja may wield the megaphone of this Ajith starrer, it is heard. Nothing is confirmed and more details are expected to be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Dookudu has completed its censor formalities on Wednesday by bagging U/A certificate. Dookudu, directed by Sreenu Vytla, is now set to release on September 23 in around 70 screens in Hyderabad and 17 screens in Chennai. Samantha is the heroine.

Ram Charan Teja's Bollywood entry with Zanjeer Film?

Rumour has it that young Tollywood hero Ram Charan Tej will soon make his Bollywood debut with the remake of 1973 Bollywood film Zanjeer.

It's true that Charan has shown a keen interest in the film, but nothing has been finalized as yet, sources close to Charan admitted.

Talks are on and the actor is still negotiating with the children of late director-producer Prakash Mehra for the rights. Sources say that Charan should make an official announcement about his Bollywood dreams in two months.

Earlier, it was heard that the actor would debut in Bollywood with a forest adventure film titled Welcome to the Jungle, but he shelved the idea after his much-hyped Telugu film Orange flopped.

Oosaravelli audio released Galatta

The audio of Jr. NTR's upcoming film Oosaravelli, directed by Surendar Reddy and produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad, was released in grand style amidst celebrities and fans at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Madhapur, Hyderabad.

K. Raghavender Rao released the audio CD and handed over the first copy to M.M. Keeravani. He also released the film's 2GB card and handed it over to S.S. Rajamouli.

In a recent interview to a leading daily, actor Ajith has revealed that he will retain his much talked about salt-and-pepper look.

Emaar case: CBI questions Ram Charan Teja

CBI, which is probing the alleged irregularities in APIIC-Emaar Properties land deal, has questioned Chiranjeevi's son and Telugu actor Ram Charan Teja.

The villas and plots in Emaar Hills township project in Gachibowli were allegedly purchased by several people from the film industry, family members of politicians and businessmen. CBI last week issued notices to over 80 persons in this regard.

Ram Charan Teja, one of the villa owners, was quizzed for about one hour, CBI officials said. More details are awaited.

Mani Ratnam appreciates Vandhaan Vendraan

Director Kannan (an old associate of Mani Ratnam) recently screened three songs and the trailer of Vandhaan Vendraan to his master in Chennai. According to Kannan, Mani Ratnam was very impressed with Kannan's work and appreciated it.

I showed him just three songs and the trailer. He just said 'good' and it meant a lot to me. After watching Jayam Kondaan, he sent me a message which I still cherish. He also told his other ADs that he liked my movie. It's a big encouragement for me, coming from a director of Mani's stature, director Kannan was quoted as saying.

Vandhaan Vendraan, which has Jiiva and Tapasee in the lead, is all set to grace theatres tomorrow.

The makers of rebel star Prabhas' new Lawrence directed film Rebel have confirmed that Tamannaah would be the heroine. Prabhas is romancing with Tamannaah for the first time in this film.

Earlier, Anushka was chosen to play the female lead and even shot some scenes. But she stepped out of the project due to differences with Lawrence. Deeksha Seth is the second heroine.
